I'm always on the lookout for books relating to "how to succeed" topics, and this one caught my attention because it offered scenarios that deal with real events and real people. Andrea seems to have mastered that illusive trait of removing her ego in order to find and offer the best solutions to tense situations. Anyone reading this book will gain wisdom from her ability to create win-win solutions. There's pain behind the candor but she's come out the other side with humor and confidence that comes through in each chapter. She shares all she's learned, openly and honestly with us. I loved the different tricks, tactics and resolutions she uses to achieve success. No wonder she made it to the top but more than that, she's established herself as a true mentor to all who know her and now through this book. Great job, and I am not surprised in the least that you are a world-class author too!
Andrea is way too modest in her approach. I've been in meetings with her and this is a woman who naturally. magically has one "eating out of the palm of her hand".
This woman and her book transcends the business she has so successfully built!

Kudos Andrea. Great writing about life and it's perils. Great reading and an inspiration for working and non-working women. Andrea has endured so much in life and has managed to succeed with such a creative power that is beyond normal. Kudos for a woman that has persevere and has created a giant of a person and will continue to do so in years to come.

Andrea Michaels is the most creative and dedicated person I know. What she has shared in her book reads like fiction, but is really true. I have worked with her and know her thorough research, her meticulous attention to detail, her total commitment to any project, and her honesty and loyalty. She has not only shared her professional ups and downs, but her personal ones as well. She has overcome countless challenges, and made gallons of sweet lemonade out of many sour lemons.Although I cannot begin to function as amazingly as she does, I can aspire to be better in what I do by taking her examples to heart.
I recommend this book to anyone who wants to be amazed and encouraged by what one person can do.
I absolutely love Andrea's conversational style and case and point structure. Each story/event experience is told with purpose, direction and clarity. While reading you never feel drowned in industry jargon or complex theories, rather, you feel comfortable in Andrea's language and at ease with her persona.
This book is real, honest and enjoyable right to the last page. A fantastic book for industry professionals and a must-read for business owners and entrepreneurs of all walks of life.

You can not be in the Event Business and not have heard
of Andrea Michaels..I have followed her career for
years and have always been in awe of the events
she has produced and her status within the industry.
When I heard Andrea had a book coming out, I thought
it would be fun to read how she pulled off some of the biggest events in the World, but the book is so much more..Yes, your heart will race when you hear how she
got herself in and out of some of the BIGGEST
events across the planet, but your cry and cheer for her
as you find that her relationships with her Mother
and men in her life are also events in her life that
she learns to overcome..she is one amazing woman and
all I can say is that I pray Andrea does not stop here.
I will anxiously be waiting for Part 2
I read this book with great pleasure. I have known Andrea for many years, and I respect her highly. I was with her on two occasions, which she describes in her book. It was Abu Dhabi and Brazil and I remember them as it was yesterday. What I liked about the book is that it gives a great inside look into our industry and the way Andrea and her staff work on programs and execute them. Besides that, she gives her personal view on having a difficult job and being successful as a mother and wife. I know myself how difficult it is to find the right partner who understands that it takes a lot being a profitable company, being a leader in our industry and having a personal life.
I recommend everybody in the MICE industry to read the book and learn from Andrea's experiences. Andrea is a very passionate person, and she is always willing to share her knowledge.
